Philosophy is such a huge discipline I don’t know if there is any best place to start. In large part it depends on your interest. One of my favorites is Will Durant’s The Story of Philosophy. It is a bit dated but nevertheless a good place to start. Wittgenstein’s Poker is another fun book that could be a good book to start with. The Trial and Death of Socrates would also be a great place to start. Should be available online for free.
